Are you a veteran in transition from military, sports or law enforcement service? Nothing is more socially important than improving the life trajectory of at-risk children. Contact us.
Three great American industries, Military, Law Enforcement, and Professional Sports Franchises, recruit their workforces from predominantly marginalized communities. All are proud volunteers. These uniformed workers are promoted as heroes for children to emulate. Governments – local, state and national – promote the military and law enforcement. Mass media promote athletes – with more-than-abundant resources.
The leadership paradigm of these industries is authoritarian control by domination/intimidation, in which ‘the other’ is objectified. This paradigm is resistant to democratic social evolution – while the nation struggles to evolve diverse gender and ethnic inclusion/assimilation. Upon separation from service, too many veterans are saddled with their service-taught authoritarian leadership model.
Most personnel are separated from service while clueless of the need to learn a new leadership paradigm. Deficient in foundation skills, pride and confidence is replaced with painful feelings of exclusion. Self-medication, self-loathing, spousal abuse, academic intimidation, loss of confidence, under-employment, depression, fits of rage, divorce, even suicide are too often inevitable.
VETERAN NEEDS
A New Leadership Paradigm.
Healing from Invisible Wounds.
Strengthened Foundation Skills.
Up-graded Employment Opportunities.
OUTCOME
Curriculum mastery radically improves veterans’ ability to navigate civilian society with confidence, power and dignity – and to share their newfound skills/identity with the world.
We call these Foundation Skills.
Traumatic mindful injuries thwart mastery of Foundation Skills.
EMPOWERING DIALOGUE — SPEAK without offending; LISTEN without defending.
Organized, systematic thinking, planning and execution for ACHIEVEMENT — A ROAD MAP TO ACHIEVEMENT.
CHANGE/TRANSITION MANAGEMENT — focus on new opportunities, not victimization.
Mastery of these Foundation Skillsets promotes healing. Veterans are now equipped to be compensated for teaching what they’ve learned to others.
